My favorite episode of Pretty Little Liars ever and I don't say that lightly.

This truly does seem like it will be the "summer of answers" as promos suggest.
It's hard to say what my favorite part of premiere was I have watched the episode 3 times today after watching last night.
- Maybe the best boyfriends ever club as the fandom calls them ( Ezra, Caleb and Toby)
- Or the crazy horror dollhouse circumstances
- Mona crying and singing "hush little baby"
- Hana and Emily's great one liners as always
- And obviously getting some type of answers was great
Recap and Theories:
This season opens to another young blond girl (Bethany Young?) hearing the girls escape to the outside of "A's" dollhouse. The girls don't make it out though because like we had seen last season there is a fence surrounding them and they seem to be in the middle of nowhere. Aria and Emily run to fence saying they can just climb it but Spencer screams "NO" because the fence is electrical. In true "A" form "Don't fence me in" plays over PA system outside. The girls including Mona all are stuck and ruminate over what they are going to do. It rains and when they wake next morning they talk about how long they can survive without food or water and even quip about drinking pee. Just then the doors back into horror ville open and they seem to have no choice but to go back in. As they head back to their creepy rooms, which resemble their rooms back in Rosewood, A/Charles grabs Mona with a gas mask and rest of the girls presumably pass out from gas.
Aria, Hanna, Emily and Spencer come to in a morgue like room under sheets. And Spencer then speculates that maybe they were set up that way so Charles/A could make it look to their families as if they were dead. Candy striper dressed Mona comes into the morgue room and is back to pretending to be Ali, as that is what Charles wants. PA system comes back on again and tells all the girls to head back to their rooms to get their "surprises." Mona tells cameras "No" and the girls all seem terrified obviously. Then three bells chime and Mona tells them that means to get back to their room "or else," she tells the others that "or else" means getting taken in the night and put in a hole. (F- that!) They all seem to prefer their rooms to a hole in the ground (duh) and head back to their perspective rooms where after each of their doors close we hear blood curdling screams.
Cut to 3 weeks later, (I was so not expecting that but I'm glad they did it that way so we don't have to see the girls be isolated and tortured for four episodes.) and Ali (who had been released from prison), is doing a press conference outside her home begging for her friends safe return. Caleb and Ezra are there as well watching. The reporter had said that Andrew Cambell is the main suspect and he is "considered to be dangerous." Once Ali goes inside we see that her house is set up like a police headquarters and they plan on using Ali as bait to draw out Andrew. They get spooked when they think someone is in the house but it just ends up being Jason. Ali soon gets a call where it plays "Don't sit under the apple tree" since everyone presumes the girls are being held somewhere on the Cambell's apple orchards. They trace call to inside Ali's house so they lock Ali in a closet and look for the phone which ends up being in a pocket hoodie of a mannequin. This gives Ali time to escape her home to find Caleb and Ezra waiting for her as we discover phone plant, song, whole 9 yards was a set up by tech savvy Caleb and Toby is in on it too. The guys set this up so they could take Ali to kissing rock alone where she can hopefully draw Andrew out. Caleb and Ezra have set up boots for her that have a tracker in them and assure her they won't be far behind her in case anything should go wrong.
Back at creepy dollhouse where girls are still being held by Charles... We see the girls get called out of their room by PA to head to Ali's room and "prepare for arrival." The girls look at each other meekly through their tears and have clearly been traumatized. (Okay can we talk about how in hell A cut and died Aria's hair or did he make her do it to herself what the F-!) When the girls get to Ali's "room" they discover that it is actually real Ali's stuff from home. The other girls have stuff from their homes too and they realize that A must have gotten their stuff months ago. The girls quip there are no "hows" anymore just "whys." They also find newspaper articles from home that talk about how effected their families have been from their disappearance, and the girls speculate that their families may think they are dead. Spencer seeing how upset they all are gets fed up and whispers they "are getting out of there tonight," also showing them on an etch-a-sketch that Charles is a DiLaurentis. Spencer had found a toy with the initials C.D. on a baby toy and put two and two together. ( As if the video from last season hadn't been enough confirmation, HA.) The girls discuss that they will escape when the generator goes down for the night like the first time except now they will head to the vault where Spencer had found all of Charles things in the previous season.
Ali arrives at Tyler state park where the car had taken her she had got in back at the kissing rock. Once she arrives at her location the car breaks down. When she calls for help through the cars service the operator ("A") tells her what she needs is in trunk of the car. Oh hell no! She then finds card from girls (that A had forced other girls to sign) and heads through the woods per instruction we assume. Ezra and Caleb are right on her heels and take off to find Ali in the woods.
We then see Aria, Spencer, Hanna, and Emily off to their escape heading to the vault where we see Charles/A's things; pictures of twin boys and an old video reel playing of Mrs. Dilaurentis telling boys to kiss their baby sister (Ali) in her arms. Spencer taunts the cameras where Charles is watching by saying "GAME ON! Charles!" and preparing to torch the room with everything he cares about inside. Charles has one of two choices here: go grab Ali from the woods ( he can also see her on cameras from outside) or pull fire alarm to save his treasured possessions. He chooses to pull fire alarm and girls head to get Mona out of hole and escape. Then they climb up a ladder and burst through doors as they are being helped open by Caleb, Ali, and Ezra who had heard fire alarm just as they were about to leave thinking it was another one of A's "wild goose chases." The girls pour into their boyfriends arms and I was like Yay!!!! At end cops also go in to find Bethany? nope just kidding blond girl says her name is Sara Harvey. Although some theories are that maybe she lied about her name but I'm not sure. Emily tells girls Sara was one from Oregon (season 4) and that she had gone missing around same time as Ali, so she must have been there for quite some time. Emily also asks Ali at end of episode after she thanks her for helping find them, "who is Charles DiLaurentis?"
My Bottom Line: So, like I said this has to be in at least my top 3 favorite episodes, maybe because I feel like it is finally getting somewhere with all the "A" stuff. ( My husband actually asked me the other day if in the books we know who A is yet. I was like um not really there have been different ones lol) I watched the episode a few more times today cuz watching last night I felt like it had gone by in the blink of an eye. I am totally with the rest of the PLL fandom that really wants to know what exactly happened to the girls in their rooms when they had screamed bloody murder. I look forward to see how they will explore things after the girls had been traumatized and what is going to happen with the Andrew thing. Is Andrew little A, or just an A helper like a lot of characters have been in past? Or, which seems unlikely, but I feel like maybe he could even be Charles because he kinda looks like he could be related to Jason, but I doubt they will go that way with the story line. This is such a fun show to talk about, and my sister and I can literally text for hours about PLL. I really think this will be the best season thus far! I also really need to go back and binge previous seasons to piece some things together to develop my theories further.
What are your theories on A?
How do you feel about the season premiere?
