The Bachelorette: Tears, Hate, and Manipulation

**Spoilers for this weeks Bachelorette**

Wow! Holy cow what an episode! I still can't decide who I hate more Nick or Kaitlin. Okay fine I hate Nick more.

The Bachelorette is still in Ireland for this weeks episode. Is it just me or is this maybe the least traveled season by far in recent history of the show? Kaitlin starts off talking about how sad she still is about sending Chris home. Really? Come on now honey, I doubt it. The remaining guys lament about how hard things are getting when a date card arrives for the last Ben standing Ben H. From here on I'll simply refer to him as Ben. (Sidebar: I thought it was funny how given that Shawn despises Nick so much he almost has his arm around him behind sofa when date card arrived lol)

So, on to the first one on one date with Ben... They go in a row boat to an island and play hide and seek, because why not I guess what else is there to do. She asks him if he is scared and they talk about what marriage material is to them. Later they drink whiskey by a fire and he tells her how he is fearful of being unlovable. He says that given his last relationship he feels maybe he loved his ex more then she loved him kind of thing. (He is cute but the cute well meaning guys are the ones that get crushed on these shows I feel.) They agree that they are both falling in love with each other but Ben worries about overnight dates only being about intimacy basically. She then baldly asks him if he is a virgin. Why is this girl so super awkward wow! (I can't tell if I feel for her because I am awkward as hell too or if I think she is just a total freak, but I gotta tell you I'm heavily leaning on the latter.) He says no he is not a virgin and she loudly does her nervous cackle that she does ugh. Being asked if you were a virgin and then being laughed at even after you said no would be a major turn off I would think.

Meanwhile date card arrives back where other guys are and Joe, Shawn and Nick are going on a three on one date... Shawn is the first one to pull her away for some alone time and we can see she is still miserable grappling with needing to tell Shawn about having sex with Nick. She wasn't going to at that point I don't think anyways but Nick comes and interrupts them. After Nick and her get back to Joe and Shawn, Joe doesn't steal her away so she asks Joe to go hang out with her instead. She asks Joe if he would really even be ready to be engaged if they moved forward and he kisses her and tells her he could love her for the next 60 years. Aww that was a cute moment but I could see it written all over her face what was coming next... She tells him she wants to be "brutally honest" with him and says how they aren't on same page. So It's farewell Joe. Ouch! That's gotta hurt! This girl is so dumb and asks him if he is "upset" with her. He then just looks around for help like 'how the hell do I get out of here and away from her'. Poor guy he was probably thinking 'where the hell is this van I get into to take me to airport', he obviously wasn't gonna stick around for the post interview with producers. Speaking of, it just dawned on me that I can't remember a time they didn't focus on someones exit. Hmm, Unless I'm having a total brain fart right now. She gets back to Shawn and Nick and she tells them how she just sent Joe home. There is a rose sitting on table but she says she "doesn't feel right" about giving it out at that time. She tells Nick she will see him at the rose ceremony and tells Shawn she will see him later to "talk". Shawn feels great about getting to have some one on one time with her but he really shouldn't because we all know she's finally gonna drop Nick bomb on him. Nick later tells the other guys what transpired on date. It still feels like Nick just wants to talk about process to death and treats it like a game just like he did with Andi 's season, so not surprising.

Finally it's time for Kaitlin to spill the beans to Shawn (unfortunately he is wearing a bright pink shirt for the occasion.) She continues to beat around bush at first and smiles and laughs awkwardly. Girl needs to compose herself or this guy is going to feel twice as bad as he's already going to. She finally admits things went "too far" with her and Nick and that they "had sex". Which is then met by a pretty long silence. Shawn finally asks Kaitlin if she "regretted it" and she said she felt "guilt". He wonders why she is even telling him. Shawn says he's gonna take a few minutes and go to the restroom and "regroup." Dude probably needs more like a week to regroup! He tells her he is upset but glad about her honesty. He says he "wants her too much" to storm out then and there basically. Shawn gets back to the other guys after and tells them there was no rose on the date. But Shawn and Nick both say they feel good about their likeliness to receive roses. Nick acts like a baby about not getting as much time as other guys. And Shawn is seen in his interview saying how if he doesn't get answers from Kaitlin he may have to "walk away from love." Chris Harrison comes in and breaks it to the guys that there will be no cocktail party before the rose ceremony.

At rose ceremony Kaitlin picks Shawn to give first rose to but he asks her if they can talk. Uh oh. I wish Shawn would just leave to teach her a lesson, plus he deserves better then her. Shawn says he doesn't understand why Nick and why she chose to jeopardize their relationship. She eventually tells him she doesn't think he "trusts her." Then we see them walk back into rose ceremony where she gives him rose. Huh? What? Ben gets a rose and Nick as well. Nooo not Nick! So Jared has to go now, I kinda saw that coming though because I heard he was going to be on Bachelor in Paradise. Jared was so sweet and perfect with his good-bye it was so sad, it was the first time all season I shed a tear. Jared was so right for her she should never have sent him home over Nick!

They switch it to overnight part of dates now and Nick is the first to go on one booo. She says she wonders if it is just mostly physical with Nick but I guess a walk around a beautiful Cathedral changes her views and now they have a spiritual connection too. Um Ok because Nick actually speaks a little bit and shows he is capable of telling childhood anecdotes wow! I still don't see even after their date and having fun talking to locals what the hell it is she sees in him. Nick also decides to tell Kaitlin some weird supposed shit about Shawn bragging about being Eskimo brothers with a famous country star, and Nick says he has no respect for Shawn. Okay Nick no one respects you either get over yourself! Nick also says he doesn't understand the other guys' bromances. Kaitlin later says in an interview he is saying things that don't matter out of jealousy and she sees that. Nick is so extremely manipulative and just strange. The fact that Kaitlin sees him as husband material just shows she needs to have her head examined.

Shawn is having a hard time next day obviously, and goes to Nick's hotel room to confront him. Shawn tells Nick he is "manipulative and arrogant." They continue to argue and talk over each other.
Then to be continued pans across the screen. NOOO! Next weeks previews look intense as always and Nick and Shawn's hate for one another looks like it may reach its breaking point. Ugh until next week...

My Bottom Line: I'm really not sure I have much to add this week... Maybe just a few quick thoughts
1. Jared is a great guy and that was sad him getting sent home.
2. The Joe thing was weird and handled poorly.
3. I hope Shawn gets to punch Nick next week!
4. Don't ask people if they are virgins and then laugh. Not OK
5. Nick needs to not speak, ever!

What were your thoughts on this weeks episode? What do you think will happen next?
