The Good Wife: This is a few episodes away from the end of its 6th season as well as Archie Panjabi's exit. This episode was titled The Deconstruction, or maybe it should have been called confusion. The episode mostly centers around how, and even if Alicia (Julianna Margulies) is going to be integrated back into the law firm she helped build. Now that she has had to step out of the S.A's position due to a false voter fraud scandal she is reeling and equally looks like a zombie. As a game of telephone ensues as to who is stealing who's clients and things immediately feel a bit off. Alicia thinks Diane is out to get her and not give her a partnership back at Lockhart/Agos and Lee, but it all ends up being a misunderstanding and Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) convinces her as much. Alas though in TV land things don't always go well for the already downtrodden heroine/ protagonist... Big name Republican R.D (Oliver Platt), that now makes up a big hunk of their billable hours states that he is gone if Allicia stays due to her Florrick name being tainted whether her integrity is intact or not. The real injustice of the episode however is just not giving Kalinda a more proper soon to be exit. Yes of course we see Bishop (Mike Colter) arrested, and we know Kalinda has stolen a flash drive the previous episode and given it to the A.D.A. to turn evidence on Bishop. She ransacks her apartment getting her stuff; hidden cash etc. and flees, at least we assume this as the viewer. The Good Wife ends yet again (second epi in a row mind you) with a sobbing Alicia as she has just read what we can presume is a good-bye letter from Kalinda.
My Bottom Line: Don't get me wrong I love this show but it's beginning to get a bit disingenuous from where I first fell in love with it. Look, I don't care if Alicia decides to write a book next season or start a new law firm or anything really... Bring back Alan Cumming and give Chris Noth and especially Matt Czuchry some more air time and maybe it won't lose me as a viewer. Matt and Julianna are both so amazing they are just getting lost in bad plots most of this season.
Revenge: Well definitely no surprises here in the episode titled Aftermath : Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) is most likely the goner we already thought she was. Emily/Amanda (Emily VanCamp) seems skeptical but then happy when she finds out after dental records proved it was indeed Victoria that perished along with Grayson Manor, hells yeah! Of course there is still police questioning by ex fling Ben, and a surprise run in with Jack (Nick Wechsler) yay! So everyone has an alibi except Amanda, because of course no one believes her Mason Treadwell story as he is supposed to be dead. Mason showed up last episode when she was trying to stop Jack from leaving to L.A. However we soon find out he was working with Victoria and set up Amanda by planting evidence in her car. Thus a twist of fate, (I mean not really lol we all know this basically plays like a night time soap) Amanda is arrested just after she finishes seeing the video Victoria sent before she blew herself up saying she set her up to go down for her murder... eeek!
My Bottom Line: I was super happy to see Jack back but I wish him and Amanda could have made out instead of her getting arrested. Needless to say this is pretty much a guilty pleasure show. Although abc does have some decent Sunday night programming in general if you don't have HBO.
Nashville: So as you can see, Christina Aguilera guest stars again as Jade St. John and she killed it yet again. The episode starts off with a great but brief scene of Rayna (Connie Britton), Deacon (Charles Esten), Maddie (Lennon Stella) and Daphne (Maisy Stella) singing on stage. This episode is definitely not all fun and giggles though; but then again is it ever? Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) seems to still want distance from her new baby so she can get her career back on track, much to Avery's (Jonathan Jackson) dismay. His mother is there to help and gives Avery quite the pep talk about life that leaves you not hating Juliette quite as much believe it or not. Will (Chris Carmack) also is finally starting to accept his sexuality and seems to want to start an actual relationship with his song writing partner. Most of the episode however focused on Deacon and yay, a possible liver transplant, nope just kidding didn't happen (yep you hate me now huh?) Seriously though I keep thinking why can't Deacons TV daughter just get tested to see if she's a match duh! My two favorite moments from The Storm Has Just Begun though have to be when Luke Wheeler (Will Chase) and Daphne sing Have a Little Faith in Me, it gave me the chills these Stella sisters are amazingly talented. Also a lighter moment when Juliette has a mean girl bitchy moment with Layla Grant (Aubrey Peeples) and Aguilera in a bathroom where she lays into Layla and snaps at Jade St. John.
My Bottom Line: This show never fails to disappoint. And most definitely is not a guilty pleasure of mine; just pure pleasure. Nashville makes me wish I could be a country music singer even though I am tone deaf. That's how good the show is, it makes you a fan girl of the music as well. I'll find myself singing the songs I hear on the episode the next week still. It's that good, not just the music, but the acting and content as well. A must watch if you haven't discovered it yet.
